With only a few days until the official premiere of "Aldnoah.Zero" season two, it would seem that anime fans are not the only ones excited for the follow up season to the space drama that features a war between Earth and Mars.

Recently, two manga artists have showed their support and excitement for "Aldnoah.Zero" season two with several new drawings. Shirow Miwa and Takako Shimura both tweeted their drawings, in which Shimura specifically counts down to the premiere with each drawing. Fans can view these drawings by the artists below.

For anime watchers unfamiliar with "Aldnoah.Zero," but they are fans of series like "Psycho-pass" and "Puella Magi Madoka Magica," it's important to note that this series is written by the same famous character killer: Gen Urobuchi. The screenwriter (who is known for many other abilities besides the aforementioned) spoke to Neko Shiritori about his connection to the show.

"I did not create the characters in Aldnoah. I made the mainframe of the story until the preliminary version. But in fact Inaho's character is different than what I wrote. I don't really have a connection with this character, so this is an exception," said Urobuchi.
This might come as a shock to fans that are used to Urobuchi's strong (and positive) influence on his works. Nevertheless, perhaps they can find comfort at least in the fact that the story is still in his hands for "Aldnoah.Zero" season two.
Anime News Network also reports that the second season will be directed by Urobuchi's partner in "Fate/zero," Ei Aoki. A-1 Pictures will handle the animation production with character designs by manga artist Takako Shimura.

Aniplex USA describes the story of "Aldnoah.Zero" as follows:
"The story features inhabitants of Earth and Mars waging in an interplanetary war. The story touches upon the effects wars have on a country's government and its people.
War is coming... The two powers will soon clash with one another and by military force, start killing each other."
"Aldnoah.Zero" season two is set to premiere with a simulcast from Aniplex starting January 10, 2015.
