Coffee Cup Cartoonist Finds the Brighter Side of Caffeine Addiction

For the coffee-dependent, mornings can be rough. Along with the usual annoyances of traffic, cold weather and oh my God, more traffic, there’s the lingering specter of a full-blown mocha-motivated meltdown. One man, however, has been able to turn his java addiction into something constructive, transforming paper cups into miniature coffee-filled canvases.
Since February, Josh Hara—also known as Twitter jokester @yoyoha—has been decorating his morning coffee with clever doodles as part of his art project #100CoffeeCups. “I get a Starbucks coffee every single day,” Hara told Buzzfeed. ”[The cup is] a perfect surface for drawing, outside of the curvature of course.”

You can check out some of our favorite caffeine-inspired cartoons above or see them all on Hara’s Instagram.
